The PEEK-A-BOO Revue "Winter Follies"

The Peek-A-Boo Revue "Winter Follies"
World Cafe Live   Philadelphia, PA
December 20, 2008

The Peek-A-Boo Revue is an Neo-Burlesque show and is well worth the seeing.  Its comedy and a tease all at the same time.  This show was a spoof on traditional Holiday stories and songs, from a song about Santa abusing a bad boy for Christmas and a sexy Toy solider strip to an angel from a tree top getting down to her naughty things.  This show I would recommend to anyone with an open mind, especially couples, so next time your in the area of Philadelphia and you see this listed for a performance-Dont miss It.

Scott Weiland

I'm a fan of Scott Weiland as I believe that he is one of the best frontman in rock today.  I have seen many of artist perform live, well over a hundred and not many can match up to Scott's stage performance.  If you don't believe me you should see him live.  This time Scott played most of the set off his new album "Happy" so fans of Stone Temple Pilots were disappointed they only got to hear one STP song which is one of my personal favorite songs of all time "Interstate Love Song".  So Scott's new album is more of a lounge sounding album where you can sit back on a sunday afternoon or night and just listen, which was perfect since this happened to be a sunday -freezing- night. All in all I still enjoy a Scott Weiland show whether in STP, Velvet Revolver, or solo.

The Ting Tings

Philadelphia, PA

The British Duo opened up for Scott Weiland for a christmas show put on from the Pop Radio station 104.5.  The performance was very good with Katie White running around the stage doing vocals, guitar, and bass drum.  The Ting Tings bring you back to the 80s dance style when you hear and watch them perform.

Ours

North Star Bar
Philadelphia, PA

Ours is one of the great all time live performing bands.  They never give the same show twice with extended songs Jimmy Gnecco puts his heart and emotions into every single song.  As the show goes on you and the rest all feel is pain, joy and sadness throughout the set.

Lukas Rossi and Plain Jane Automobile

Lukas Rossi winner of Rockstar Supernova started the night out beautifully with the love, passion and soul he puts into every song. Winning new fans over as his set went on.  I'm excited to see Where the future will take him.  Plain Jane Automobile was another exciting opener and will one day Headline their own tour with their pure rock sounds and talent.
